Hello ! To start this nice week, I offer you a wonderful recipe, believe me, you will be amazed! When you are vegan, some things can be missed, such as meat (which is not my case !!) or cheese. When seeking to Pinterest, vegan cheeses stands out most is the one made from cashew or almond. However, for a simple desire to creamy toast, it’s expensive.
With a little research and patience, I finally found a very simple recipe, really inexpensive and very good so why not use it? This is a cheese made from soy yogurt. The taste is incredible, to confuse them. Try to taste the cream cheese to a carnivorous friend, I’m sur, he will be completely hoodwinked! To get an idea, it’s pretty close to the classic cream cheese, in taste like texture.
You can adapt the recipe according to your desires. The base remains the same but you can enjoy nature, with herbs, garlic, etc. The combinations are endless! Have fun ! 🙂
Vegan cream cheese with nut
For 1 small jar
Vegan / Gluten free
Preparation time : 10 minutes / Break : 24h
3 cups soy yoghurt
2 tsp fine salt
1 handful of toasted walnuts
1 gauze bag
Unfold the cheesecloth and place on a bowl or pot. Ensure it does not touch the bottom.
Empty soy yoghurt above. Place in the fridge and let for 24 hours.
The next day recover that part of yogurt that has drained the gauze. Add salt and mix with crushed nuts.
You can keep it 3-4 days in the fridge.
