For three weeks, a small flea market settles in a park in La Baule (right next to the Avenue de Gaulle). The first date was on Sunday and I got strolled. To start this holiday, it was perfect. I went early and there was not many people, the calm was very nice and relaxing. Antique dealers set up their market stalls and there was plenty to see, especially small somewhat unusual objects and tableware.
I love flea markets since I was little. Everyone in my family is interested and I grew up among antique products. My mother also took me to the flea market of Saint-Ouen hundreds of times (and it’s always pure pleasure to go with her). I like to rummage in the hope of finding rare objects that will satisfy me. This time, we found two small oval dishes absolutely gorgeous. I can not wait to show them on the blog. They will be perfect to present small dishes.
Aside from the tableware, the flea market was filled with books of all kinds and in particular of art. I could buy tons! When I walk at Fnac or at Gibert Jeune in Paris, I spend all my money in this kind of book … (with cookbooks). This time I was reasonable but not sure that I am still next Sunday …
