It’s the holidays and I finally left Paris! After a break for two day in the campaign, Iam going to La Baule (ie the SEA !). I’m so glad I did not see the beauty of the ocean since the Ile de Ré in June. I love to breathe the pure air of the sea wind. I don’t know if the weather will be with go but I’m motivated and positive no matter what. I would jump in a pair of boots if necessary! My suitcase is so busy… I took all the clothing styles in anticipation of a possibly changing weather, dresses, shorts but also big warm sweaters, do not forget that this is the southern Bretagne (cold place).
The trip is done by car, the ultimate misfortune for me there are a few years. However, everything changed. There are now two years I have had the great chance to make a long road trip on the US west coast with absolutely incredible people (I have a head full of memories that will never leave me!). We had to do at least five hours a day by car and I could not stand that these trips, it was my remedy. Since the car does not frighten me (even less for 4-5 wee hours on French roads). I see the time run faster and I have learned to be content with a little music or lengthy discussions on the road (they are the best, as time seems stopped).
As the trip is a bit long, you had to think for lunch and what better than the Daily Monop sandwiches? Of course we must organize in advance (the stores are in Paris) but it has the advantage of being quick and delicious. Moreover, they still offer plenty of original salads and sandwiches really good. They are not cheap but are still cheaper than those of unsavory highway areas.
At the present time I am on the road, in the assault to the endless beaches of La Baule (I’m also probably in endless traffic jams of the black weekend of the year… but anyway)! See you there ! 😉
