French apple pie for all the family (vegan)
I grew up with apple pies prepared by my mother or my grandmother. They are two specialists. We sipped it usually the weekend or as a dessert at Sunday lunch. We are not completely arrived at the apple season but they arrive, it began to have apple ont the apple trees of my grandfather.
This recipe is super easy and universal. The dough is homemade and vegan. If you’re not a great chef but a greedy, it will satisfy you.
French apple pie
For 6 personnes
Preparation time : 45 minutes / Cooking time : 30 minutes
3 tbsp whole cane sugar (optional)
1 tsp vanilla powder
2 tbsp whole cane sugar
1 pinch of salt
85 ml grapeseed oil (or other vegetable oil)
80 ml of water
Start by preparing the dough in a large bowl, mix flour, sugar and salt. Add the oil and mix roughly. Pour water and stir. Knead well to get a smooth ball. Place in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Prepare subsequently includes applesauce with 4 Apples. Peel and cut into large pieces. Add 2 tbsp brown sugar if you want and vanilla powder. I didn’t add sugar because the sugar of the fruit is enough for my taste. Cook over low heat for 30 minutes, stirring from time and time.
Cut the other 4 apples into slices.
Roll out the pastry in order to place it in a pie pan. If it is sticky, you can spread directly into the mold with your fingers.
Pour into the bottom of the pie, applesauce. Add the apple slices so as to achieve a pretty rose. Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of whole cane sugar on top to a caramelized effect.
Bake at 180°C for 30 minutes.
